SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology, and can be used to predict the risk of retinal vein occlusion in females over 35 years old. For this purpose, females are examined for chorioretinal haemodynamics. If observing a combination of the values of total average vascular density in the superficial vascular plexus less than 43.0 %, a resistance index of 1.5 and more, a pulsation index of 0.7 and more, a risk of formation of retinal vein occlusion within three years is predicted.
EFFECT: invention provides preventive measures and preservation of visual functions in women older than 35 years with a risk of developing retinal vein occlusions.
