SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Two indicators – organism and intraocular – are studied. If women in the third trimester of pregnancy with preeclampsia are diagnosed with arterial hypertension 150/100 mm Hg and higher in combination with macular retinal volume 10.5 mm3 and more, a high risk of vascular pathology of the retina and optic nerve is predicted.

EFFECT: method enables predicting a risk of vascular pathology of the retina and optic nerve in preeclampsia patients without invasive procedures, considering the organism and intraocular factors.
