SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurement of radionuclide activity. Method for characterization of graphite block of nuclear reactor additionally includes stages, at which the distance between the graphite block and the spectrometer measuring system is determined based on the preliminary remote measurement of gamma-radiation dose rate by the point detector inside the hole in the graphite block, wherein preliminary measurement, as well as the arrangement of the graphite block with respect to the spectrometric measurement system at a certain distance are provided by remote manipulation of the graphite block characterized.

EFFECT: high efficiency and quality of characterization of individual graphite blocks while observing radiation safety of maintenance personnel.
