SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biochemistry, in particular to a chimeric gene containing nucleic acid which encodes a protein toxic to the corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis). Disclosed are also a recombinant vector, a transgenic host cell, a transgenic plant, a transgenic seed containing said chimeric gene. Disclosed are methods for producing a protein, producing a transgenic plant, a method for combating the corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) with the aid of said chimeric gene.
EFFECT: invention enables combating the corn borer (Ostrinia nubilalis) efficiently.
