SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in design and control of low-altitude spacecraft (SC) in the part of the method and system for transmitting signals over satellite communication channels. For this purpose change in the volume of transmitted signals is provided, which are changed in accordance with the changing environment (change in the signal/noise ratio) of the communication channel by reducing the digit capacity of the transmitted digital value (number) with deterioration of the interference situation in the communication channel.

EFFECT: high quality of transmitting signals in a varying communication channel environment when changing the signal-to-noise ratio.
