FIELD: continuous pultrusion molding of a composite profile from fiber-reinforced thermoplastic material.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous pultrusion molding of a composite profile from fiber-reinforced thermoplastic material and in particular to a method for continuous production of a thermoplastic reinforced pultruded profile with the help of a basic pultrusion installation. The method for continuous production of a thermoplastic reinforced pultruded profile consists in the fact that initial material in the form of thermoplastic (TP) tapes consisting of glass fiber impregnated with polypropylene and a reinforcing strip glass fabric material is fed into a preheating furnace from a creel. After that it is subject to temperatures close to the melting temperature binder. Then initial material is fed into the heated part of the forming die. After that material is put into a cooling die with cooling means, then to the pulling mechanism and then to the saw section. At the same time, a system of distribution guiding frames is additionally installed with a system of perforated holes for the passage, distribution and delimitation of the original TP tapes and strips of the original fiberglass material between the creel and the preheating oven. Before supplying the starting material, preliminary accurate calculation of the amount of TP tapes and fiberglass material is carried out in accordance with the profile section and the mass ratio of the components in the final product taking into account the distribution of initial material. The calculation is carried out in such a way that a single layer of pultruded TP tapes is located on the surface of the resulting profile, and a single layer of pultruded fiberglass material is located in close proximity to the surfaces of the profile under the specified single layer of TP tapes located close to each other. For this, before pultrusion, under the specified single layer of TP tapes, a single layer of strips of fiberglass material is fed in dry form or in the form of a combined semi-finished product, and the main part of TP tapes is fed between the layers of fiberglass material. This is done with additional delineation to improve the positioning of the tapes and prevent entanglement. In this case, the initial filling of the starting materials into the subsequent nodes of the pultrusion unit begins with the outer layers of the TP tapes with fixation to each other in order to eliminate the possibility of interweaving the tapes from the middle of the bundle. The combined semi-finished product is obtained by preliminary pultrusion impregnation of the original strip glass fabric with a thermoplastic binder in the form of initial TP strips arranged tightly to each other in one layer, and the original strip glass fabric is placed on top of them.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain pultruded thermoplastic reinforced profiles with improved operational properties, such as high strength, impact resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, thermal conductivity, postformability and short processing time, the possibility of re-processing.
