FIELD: polymers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of polymers and applies to multilayer heat shrinking film. The film has a first part containing an outer heat welded layer and a second part containing a PVDC barrier layer and a second outer layer containing polyester. Both parts of the film contain polymer networks, said networks deformed by solid phase orientation, wherein only the first part contains a cross linked network. The film has (i) total free shrinkage at 85°C of at least 90% and (ii) energy required for breakdown of at least 0.65 J/mil measured instrumentally in accordance with the ASTM D3763 standard, and/or (ii) resistance to the maximum impulse load of at least 70 N/mil measured instrumentally in compliance with the ASTM D3763 standard. The film is generally produced of ethylene based polymers. Packaging material can be manufactured by self-packing of the film.
EFFECT: invention enables production of high-impact high-shrinking film which does not contain polyamide or contains polyamide in the amount of up to 10% of the total weight of the film.
