SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a kit for making a thermostatic element, including a cup with thermally expandable material, a piston, installed with possibility of movement along axis (X-X) under action of thermally expandable material in guide (40), adapted for attachment to cup, and buffer (60) from elastomer material, adapted for arrangement between thermally expanding material and piston. Guide has channel (41) centered relative to axis and having first section (41.2) of constant cross-section, second section (41.1), adapted to receive the piston and having a constant cross-section smaller than the cross-section of the first portion of the channel, and third portion (41.3), continuously connecting the first and second portions of the channel. In compliance with this invention, buffer has first and second end sections (62, 61), which in the assembled state of the thermostatic element are located in the first and second sections of the channel, respectively, regardless of the translational position of the piston, as well as variable portion (63), coaxially connecting first and second end sections. Before assembling the buffer with the rest of the components of the thermostatic element, variable section (63) is at least locally thinner than the first end portion, so that in the assembled state of the thermostatic element, the variable portion extends from the first to the second portion of the channel through the third portion of the channel, partially removing internal strains of deformation in buffer when piston moves.

EFFECT: disclosed is a kit for manufacturing a thermostatic element.
