SUBSTANCE: valve body (10) comprises first and second (12, 14) openings, gallery (16), and first and second (P1, P2) flow conduit portions. Openings are centered on a central axis of the valve body. Gallery is disposed between the openings and includes a cylindrical space on a gallery axis that is perpendicular to the central axis. First flow conduit portion extends between the first opening and side opening (18) of the gallery. Second flow conduit portion extends between the second opening and bottom opening (20) of the gallery. Second flow conduit portion includes straight cylindrical conduit section (22b) in communication with and extending away from the bottom opening of the gallery.

EFFECT: diameter of the straight cylindrical conduit section is equal to or less than a diameter of the bottom opening of the gallery to facilitate fluid flow through the valve body, and the diameter of the cross-section of the second portion of the conduit gradually decreases from the second opening to the region adjacent to the lower opening of the conduit.
