SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to separation of mercury from a leaching product. Gold-bearing ore is in contact with sodium cyanide solution at pH from 9 to 12 with formation of a product of leaching of gold ore containing gold and mercury, in which a coagulant and a precipitating agent are added to form a separated composition. Precipitating agent contains a dithiocarbamate polymer, a thiocarbamate-containing compound or a mixture thereof, and the coagulant contains an inorganic compound containing Fe3+, Al3+ or a mixture thereof. Weight ratio of the precipitating agent to the coagulant ranges from 5:1 to 1:5. Thereafter, the mercury-containing precipitate is separated from the composition to obtain a treated gold-bearing ore leaching product.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides removal of mercury while increasing output of metal product in solution.
