Solid-liquid separation in a liquid flow of a mining process, having pH of 8 or more, includes addition to the liquid flow of polymer containing boronic acid, containing acrylamide and vinyl monomer, containing a boronic acid fragment selected from a group consisting of 3-(acrylamide)phenylboronic acid, 4-(acrylamide)phenylboronic acid, 2-(acrylamide)phenylboronic acid, 4-vinylphenylboronic acid, 3-vinylphenylboronic acid, 2-vinylphenylboronic acid and mixtures thereof, and polysaccharide – dextran with the separation of solid from the specified liquid flow.
