SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Method of restoring a radio link includes: establishing, in a communication system, a security context of a layer without access between a user device and a mobility management system of a communication system; and, in response to the radio link failure between the user device and the communication system initial access node during the data transmission operation through the control plane, recovering, by a mobility management node, in the security context of a layer without access previously established between the user device and the mobility management unit, radio links for the user device through the communication system target access node, wherein the mobility management node comprises a processor and memory configured to restore a radio link.

EFFECT: safe recovery of a radio link without setting a new context for protecting a communication link between the user device and the target access node.
