SUBSTANCE: absorbent article (1) comprising absorbent component (5a, 5b, 5c) having a central segment and two side segments, separated by channel seams (9, 10), enclosed between liquid-permeable topsheet (3) and liquid-impermeable lower sheet (4). Absorbing component (5a, 5b, 5c) is formed such that total amount of absorbent material in central segment (5a) is generally the same or greater than total amount of absorbent material in each of side segments (5b, 5c), and channel seams (9, 10) and central segment (5a) are generally parallel to longitudinal axis (y1), and absorbing component (5a, 5b, 5c) is configured to expand during wetting and demonstrates first volume in dry state and second volume in fully expanded wet state, second volume is larger than first volume, and coating of core (11, 12), which is located around absorbing component (5a, 5b, 5c), makes means of volume limitation and defines and limits expansion space of central segment (5a), so that complete expansion of central segment (5a) to second volume during wetting is prevented, and ratio of first width (a1) of central segment (5a) and width (a3) of absorbent component (5a, 5b, 5c) in dry state is 0.25-0.45.
EFFECT: disclosed is absorbing product with reduced sag.
