SUBSTANCE: present invention disclosure relates to absorbent article (1) comprising absorbent core (5) arranged between liquid-permeable topsheet (3) and liquid-impermeable backsheet (4), wherein said article (1) is located along longitudinal axis (y1) and transverse axis (x1) extending in a direction perpendicular to longitudinal axis (y1), and in said product (1) are formed front part (6), rear part (7) and crotch portion (8), wherein said absorbent core (5) comprises absorbent component (5a, 5b, 5c) enclosed by a core closure member comprising an upper side and a lower side, and a connecting means for connecting said upper and lower sides (11, 12) of the core closure member and comprising two channel connections (9, 10) in perineal portion (8), determining first channel connection width (w1) and second channel connection width (w2), and also comprising two side seams (15, 16) passing along lateral sides of said core (5), wherein central portion (5a) having a first width (a1) is formed in absorbent component (5a, 5b, 5c) between channel connections (9, 10), and two side portions (5b, 5c), each of which has second width (a2), are formed in absorbing component (5a, 5b, 5c) outside each channel connection (9, 10). Besides, absorbent component (5a, 5b, 5c) is formed such that the total amount of the absorbent material on central portion (5a) is substantially equal to or greater than the total amount of the absorbent material on each of side portions (5b, 5c), wherein third width (b1) is defined between channel connections (9, 10) and fourth width (b2) is defined between channel connection (9, 10) and side seam (15, 16), and ratio of first width (a1) and third width (b1) is greater than ratio of second width (a2) and fourth width (b2).
