SUBSTANCE: disclosed is an absorbent product (1) that contains a liquid-permeable upper layer (3), a liquid-tight outer layer (4) and an absorbent middle layer (5) sandwiched between the upper layer (3) and the outer layer (4). The product (1) is located along the longitudinal axis (y1) and the transverse axis (x1) extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (y1). The main product (1) forms a front part (6), a back part (7) and a crotch area (8). Moreover, the absorbent middle layer (5) is formed with an arrangement of reinforcing units (9, 10, 15, 16) containing two units (9, 10) reinforcing channels extending along the longitudinal axis (x1) in the crotch area (8) and forming the first effective width ( w1) of channel reinforcing units and the second effective width (w2) of channel reinforcing units, respectively. In addition, the arrangement of reinforcing units (9, 10, 15, 16) contains two side seams (15, 16) extending along two side edges (25, 26) of the middle layer (5). The side seams (15, 16) form the third and the fourth effective width (w3, w4), respectively, along the crotch area (8) and form the fifth and sixth effective width (w5, w6), respectively, along the front part (6) and the back part (7). The effective width (w1, w2, w3, w4, w5, w6) is defined as the length of the arrangement of reinforcing elements (9, 10, 14, 15) in the transverse direction of the product (1) along any section of the crotch area (8). The sum of effective widths (w1, w2, w3, w4, w5, w6) from the first to the sixth in the transverse direction is basically constant along the middle layer (5).
