FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for control of piston internal combustion engines in operating conditions and can be used both for preliminary diagnosis of ICE technical state at operation stages, and during maintenance of vehicles. Method of controlling parameters of technical condition of internal combustion engine consists in the fact that measuring readings of sensors of internal combustion engine, as well as dynamometer, wherein dynamometer is installed on engine flywheel, after which is compared by means of diagnostic unit measured readings with standard and based on this, monitoring technical state of internal combustion engine. Also disclosed is a system for monitoring parameters of technical condition of an internal combustion engine.

EFFECT: technical result ensured by the given set of features is the on-line monitoring of the vehicle engine technical state parameters by processing the readings, removed from ICE sensors and dynamometer, as well as information on ICE degree of wear using display unit, on the basis of which the driver receives information on the need for maintenance of the vehicle.
