SUBSTANCE: the invention relates to the field of biotechnology and is a method for screening potential drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease based on the analysis of damage to the mitochondrial DNA of Drosophila flies, including the collection of biological material, DNA isolation, determination of the quantitative level of damage to mitochondrial DNA by real-time PCR at an elongation temperature of 66,1±0,5°С using oh polymerase, the corresponding oh buffer, comparison of the quantitative level of damage to the mitochondrial DNA of experimental and control groups, characterized in that, c what is pre-carried out within 7 days of two experimental d. for one of the experimental groups, which also received the test drug for 7 days, the content of the drug in the culture medium is determined experimentally, so that the amount of rotenone-induced mtDNA damage is reduced by at least 70%, the content of the control group is carried out on the culture medium without the addition of xenobiotic, as well as the drug, the killing of test flies is carried out after 7 days of the experiment, DNA is isolated from fly homogenate, PCR is carried out for 4.5 minutes with pairs of primers having sequences according to the Sequence List - SEQ ID NO: 1-16, revealing the genoprotective properties of the test substance with a reduction in the number of mtDNA damage by at least 30% in the experimental group taking the test drug than in the experimental group contained in the culture medium with rotenone.
EFFECT: invention provides efficient treatment of Parkinson's disease.
