FIELD: data processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of optical image recognition. Essence of the proposed method consists in detection of small objects on images based on comparative analysis of detailed wavelet coefficients of current and reference images, summary-difference processing of horizontal, vertical and diagonal wavelet coefficients at given decomposition levels with subsequent normalization, accumulation of normalized pseudo-images with their subsequent binarization along an adaptively set threshold.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of detecting small objects on images.
