FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates in particular to apparatus for the cultivation of biomass of methane-oxidizing microorganisms Methylococcus capsulatus. The fermentation plant for methane-oxidizing bacteria Methylococcus capsulatus contains a fermenter for carrying out aerobic cultivation processes, which has pipes for supplying gas and liquid technological streams, outlets of the obtained biomass and exhaust gas, elements for organizing flows inside the fermenter. As elements for organizing flows inside the fermenter, two bubble rings are installed. Natural gas is supplied through one of the bubble rings, and oxygen is supplied through the other. The installation additionally contains a storage tank for withdrawing the obtained biomass from the fermenter, and a gas separator connected to it with a gas equalization line, connected to a heat exchanger and a centrifugal pump for returning the liquid part of the flow using a control valve, and an ejector for returning waste gas and of liquid part of the flow to the bottom of the fermenter from the gas separator.
EFFECT: invention provides a technical result, which consists in increased productivity and yield of the microbiological process of obtaining biomass of methane assimilating microorganisms per unit of energy expended, by increasing the degree of oxygen and methane utilization, while simplifying the design.
