FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique for the distribution of natural gas through pipelines, namely to gas reduction devices, and can be used to supply settlements, industrial facilities and individual consumers with natural gas. The smart automatic reducing point contains parallel-connected reducing lines, two consecutively installed pressure regulators, security elements, pressure and temperature sensors, access identifier, burglary sensor, controller, information transmission unit, flow meter, corrector, timer, register of minute gas consumption, register of hourly gas consumption, block of cyclic memory of hourly gas consumption, register for sampling the required hourly flow rate, a weather parameter corrector, comparison units, setting device for deviation from hourly flow rates, memory unit for minute gas flow rates, register for sampling minute flow rate, setting device for deviation from minute flow rates.
EFFECT: increased reliability of gas supply by monitoring discrepancy between the predicted and actual hourly and minute gas flow rates in real time to detect unauthorized gas extraction, cut-ins or damage to gas pipeline with data transmission to control room.
