FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, which includes: grinding powder containing iron of alloy in presence of yttrium oxide, unless the oxide substantially dissolves in the alloy; thermomechanical compaction of powder to form compacted component; annealing of compacted component to form annealed component and cooling of annealed component by quenching with water to form treated component, where treated component includes surface, containing nanostructured ferritic alloy, this nanostructured ferritic alloy includes nanostructures arranged in alloy containing iron; wherein nanostructures contain particles of complex oxides, and complex oxide particles contain yttrium and titanium; wherein on the surface the base contains approximately from 5 weight percent to 30 weight percent of chromium and approximately from 0.1 weight percent to 10 weight percent of molybdenum; concentration of chi-phase or sigma-phase in nanostructured ferritic alloy on surface is less than approximately 5 volume percent, and where annealing stage is carried out at temperature higher than temperature of dissolution of chi-phase and sigma-phase.
EFFECT: disclosed are corrosion-resistant article and method of its production.
