FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. Craniotomy is performed with dissecting a dura mater. Laparoscopic approach is performed. Omentum flap on the base with a gastroepiploid artery is cut out. Flap is removed from the peritoneal cavity and visual and dopplerographic assessment of vascularisation is performed. Flap is then dissected longitudinally between the vascular arcades until the length required for transplantation is achieved. Formed omentum flap is delivered in a subcutaneous tunnel through a craniotome defect on the convexital surface of the cerebral hemisphere. That is followed by excising the arachnoid membrane and altered brain tissues with simultaneous multiple subpial transections. Moved omentum is expanded, covered with a dapple flap and fixed to it with separate sutures. Bone fragment is fixed in the initial position with the transosseous sutures.

EFFECT: method enables the surgical treatment of structural epilepsy in infants, reducing the traumatism of the surgical intervention, higher clinical effectiveness ensured by reduced frequency of epileptic seizures, improved cognitive, sensory, motor and trophic functions in a child.
