FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery. Arched skin incision is made in a frontotemporal region. Periosteum and temporal muscle are dissected by monopolar coagulation. Orbitopterional trepanation is performed using a craniotome. Dura mater is opened and the carotid and chiasmatic cisterns are opened in turn. Before clipping a basilar artery aneurysm, 30 mm temporal lobe pole is resected, followed by a subpial resection of a hippocampal hook.
EFFECT: method enables reducing the risk of associated intra- and postoperative complications, providing good recovery of the patients with aneurysms of the upper basilar artery in the acute period of haemorrhage.
