SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for washing and crushing root crops. The device contains a hopper, inside of which there are a restrictive grate and two drums. The restraining grid is installed in the hopper above the drums at an angle, which ensures smooth and even gliding of the root crops. The drums are displaced horizontally and vertically with respect to each other and are made in the shape of a square, in which the side faces are semicircular in order to more uniformly capture the layer of root crops, and are attached to the side walls of the hopper through bearing supports and are driven into counter rotation from the gearbox-motor through the drive, which includes a chain, two sprockets of the drum drive, an asterisk and a tensioner, which includes a hinged U-shaped bracket with an asterisk and a hinged "screw-nut" gear, with which the chain is tensioned.

EFFECT: use of the invention will improve device reliability and finished feed quality.
