SUBSTANCE: device contains a frame with a hopper, an unloading auger, a conveyor and a grinder. The frame and the hopper are a whole welded metal structure. Inside the hopper there are two restrictive grids and two drums. Restrictive grids are installed in the hopper above the drums at an angle that ensures smooth and uniform sliding of root crops, and the drums in a horizontal plane, in relation to each other, are parallel, they are in a cruciform shape, the side faces of which have a U-shaped rubberized surface, are fixed to the side bunker walls through bearing supports and are driven by a gear motor through a block of gear wheels. The unloading auger is located in the casing in the centre of the hopper r at an angle of 45°to the horizontal axis, has a constant winding pitch, and its lower and upper output ends of the shafts rotate in bearing units. In the upper part of the auger there is a blade, with the help of which the washed root crops are thrown into the grinder. To drain contaminated water and supply clean water, a tap is provided in the lower part of the unloading auger, which can be connected to the cleaning plant. In the upper part of the unloading auger for additional washing of root crops with a stream of clean water, a comb is provided inside the casing, which is also connected to a cleaning plant. The drive of the unloading auger is carried out from the electric motor through a belt drive, closed from above by a casing. The conveyor is designed to remove soil impurities and includes a box-shaped casing of a rectangular shape, a double-chain conveyor belt with metal scrapers and a drive in form of an electric motor. The grinder consists of a fixed cylindrical body with end walls, between which there is a holder. The end walls and the cage are interconnected by bolted connections. There is a loading window in the wall. In the lower part of the housing, on one side, there is a movable section connected to the housing cage by a hinged mechanism, and on the other hand, a knife is attached to the cage using countersunk bolts and nuts. The gap between the knife and the moving section is adjusted using two tensioners, each of which includes a tie bolt and two nuts. A shaft passes through the center of the housing, rotating in bearing assemblies, which are bolted to the end walls. Four symmetrically arranged X-shaped carriers are rigidly fixed to the shaft, each of which has a swivel joint with an L-shaped clamp at one end. To adjust the gap between the L-shaped clamp and the cage, there is an adjusting mechanism consisting of a bolt, two nuts and a bracket. The L-shaped clamp on the inner side along the edges has lugs with holes through which the axis passes, pivotally connecting the clamp with two carriers. The axis moves in the through grooves of the carrier and rotates in the sliding bearing units.

EFFECT: expanding the technological capabilities of the proposed device, increasing the productivity and reliability of its operation, as well as the quality of the finished feed in accordance with zootechnical requirements and reducing the energy intensity of the process of cutting root crops.
