FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: device contains a frame with a hopper, a chain-slatted conveyor and a screw grinder with a fixed block of knives. The frame and the hopper are a whole welded metal structure. Inside the hopper there are two restrictive grids and two drums. Restrictive grids are installed in the hopper above the drums at an angle that ensures smooth and uniform sliding of root crops. The drums are cross-shaped with U -shaped side faces and rotate in the same direction. The drums are fixed to the side walls of the hopper through bearings and are driven by a gear motor through a gear cluster. The chain-slatted conveyor is located in a rectangular casing in the center of the hopper at an angle to the horizontal, which ensures the movement of root crops without their transfer over the slats. The lower and upper output ends of the shafts, together with the sprockets, rotate in bearing assemblies located in the side walls of the hopper. The chain-slatted conveyor is driven by a gear motor through a chain drive. To drain contaminated water and supply clean water, a tap is provided in the lower part of the casing of the chain-slatted conveyor, which can be connected to the treatment plant. The chopper comprises a cylindrical body with a replaceable block of fixed rectangular knives. Inside the shredder housing, a screw with a constant pitch is installed vertically. The replacement unit is secured to the shredder body with four swivel screw clamps that allow for quick removal and installation. The knives are made of rectangular plates, all sharp edges of which have the same one-sided sharpening angle and are located in the grooves of the replaceable block at a fixed distance from each other and at an angle perpendicular to the lower winding of the screw. The screw is driven by a gear motor through a chain drive.
EFFECT: expanded process capabilities of the device, increased productivity and reliability of its operation.
