DEVICE FOR WASHING ROOT TUBERS Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A23N12/02 B08B3/04

Abstract RU 2808592 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: device contains a frame (1) with a cylindrical hopper (2), an unloading auger (3) and a conveyor (4). The frame (1) and the cylindrical hopper (2) are a complete welded metal structure. Inside the cylindrical hopper (2) there is a restrictive grid (5), in the center of which there is a rectangular hole for the passage of root tuber crops. The restrictive grid (5) is installed in a cylindrical hopper above a U-shaped cross-shaped drum (6) in such a way that its inclined walls ensure smooth and uniform sliding of root crops. The U-shaped cross-shaped drum (6) is attached to the side walls of the cylindrical hopper (2) through bearing supports and is driven into rotation by a gear motor through a gear transmission covered by a casing. The unloading auger (3) is located in the casing in the center of the cylindrical hopper (2) at an angle of 45° to the horizontal, and its lower (9) and upper (10) output ends of the shafts rotate in bearing supports. Inside the casing, as shown in Fig. 1, along its entire length there is a movable drum (11), which has a separate drive. The movable drum (11) consists in the loading zone of four support rubber-coated rods (12) and rubber-coated rods, between which there is a gap that does not allow root crops to pass between them, and four support disks, which have a rigid connection with the rubber-coated rods. There is a gap between the casing of the unloading auger and the outer diameter of the movable drum for the free passage of water with soil impurities. The movable drum and the unloading auger rotate in different directions to create a random movement of water inside the casing. At the top of the auger there is a blade (13) for throwing out washed root and tuber crops. To drain contaminated water and supply clean water, a tap (14) is provided in the lower part of the casing of the unloading auger. The unloading auger (3) is driven by an electric motor (15) through a belt drive (16), closed from above by a casing. The conveyor (4) is designed to remove soil impurities and includes a rectangular box-shaped casing, a double-chain conveyor belt with metal scrapers and a drive in the form of a gear motor.

EFFECT: improved reliability of the device, improved quality of washing root crops and reduced water consumption.
