SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multi-position radio engineering Doppler systems for observation of objects. System consists of several receivers and transmitters. Receivers receive reflected signals emitted by external transmitters at certain frequencies. In contrast to the prototype, the disclosed method enables spatial separation of transmitters and receivers, using an arbitrary number of receivers and an arbitrary number of transmitters, as well as taking into account directions on the object from the side of remote transmitters. Velocity vector of the object is found by solving a system of linear algebraic equations taking into account direction vectors of the object and measured Doppler frequencies in a single coordinate system. Increasing the number of receivers and transmitters, as well as taking into account directions on the object from all direction finding points leads to higher accuracy of estimates of coordinates of the velocity vector of the object and reliability of operation of the system as a whole.
EFFECT: method can be used in multi-position systems of direction finding of objects with spatial separation of an arbitrary number of transmitters and receivers.
