FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention related to boiler manufacture for protection of tubes and tube walls from abrasion during incineration of coals containing abrasive ash. The slotted louver fly ash collector mounted above the inlet of the heat exchange apparatus in the convection section of the gas duct, e.g. economizer of a power boiler, said collector comprising of a row of parallel slats arranged into a grid and mounted in the gas and ash flow. The slats are made hollow, double-walled, arrow-shaped with an open slit on facing the incoming gas and ash flow and impenetrably plugged on the opposite side, half of every slat arrow is angled from the center out in the direction of the flow, the slats are connected to a rod that directs reciprocating motion from an outer oscillator, there are bushings on the ends of the slats in which slats are mounted with possibility for re-angling, on the fly ash collector frame, the inner cavities of the slats are connected through hollow stems with ash collection tanks on the edge of the frame connected in series through ash transporters with outer ash collecting communication lines of the boiler.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is creation of dynamic stability and deceleration of the fly ash flow into a heat exchange apparatus, separation of significant volume of ash from the incoming gas and ash flow, increased constructability and maintainability of the apparatus.
