SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Disclosed is a specific and highly sensitive test system for detecting the sheeppox virus genome. Oligonucleotide primers and a fluorescently labeled probe were developed for specific amplification and detection of a fragment of the ORF131-ORF132 sheeppox virus genome:

The test system consists of a ready-made PCR mixture (including oligonucleotide primers and a fluorescently labeled probe), Taq-DNA polymerases, positive control and negative control and makes it possible to identify the sheeppox virus genome in the shortest possible time.

EFFECT: invention can be used to detect the DNA of all genetic variants of sheeppox viruses in samples of a wide range of pathological materials and biomaterials in order to make and clarify clinical and laboratory diagnoses in veterinary medicine.
