FIELD: object detection.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to areas of detection of objects, in particular pests, and controlling movement of animals by means of capacitive sensors. Disclosed group of inventions comprises edge capacitive sensor, which includes three conductors located on non-grounded conducting substrate, detection means comprising one or more edge capacitive sensors, a system comprising a plurality of detection means arranged in a network with a cellular topology or in another wireless network, and a method of "intelligent" detection of activity of an object, such as presence of a pest, for example a rodent or a creeping, digging or flying insect.
EFFECT: high accuracy of detecting and recognizing objects.
