FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of assembling and balancing a shaft of transmission of gas pumping units. When assembling the transmission shaft, inner halves of the shaft halves are connected to each other, each of which is equipped with balancing surfaces. If the eccentricity of the mass exceeds the allowable value by more than two accuracy classes or 6 times or more, the value and marks of the maximum radial runout of the connected flange generatrices are determined. Correcting weight is set from diametrically opposite side relative to point of maximum runout. In case of considerable divergence of places of maximum radial runout, the middle beat position is determined inversely proportional to the beats values and the hole for cargo installation opening is used, and load weight is determined from the dependence

where m is weight of correcting weight, k is coefficient depending on shaft structure, ΔD1 and ΔD2 are radially measured beats of generatrices of flanges, M is shaft mass, r is radius of cargo installation.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of assembly due to consecutive reduction of imbalances during technological process.
