TWO-STROKE ENGINE MIXING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC F02B33/04 F02B23/08 F01P3/06 F02B25/16 F02M61/14 F02M69/10

Abstract RU 2744395 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering, in particular to internal combustion engines, and specifically to fuel systems for two-stroke engines. Proposed is a device for mixing a two-stroke engine, said device comprising a cylinder 1 with inlet and outlet windows, and a piston 2, which is connected to the engine shaft by means of a motion conversion mechanism, intake ducts 5, 6 for the intake of air into the substrate space and exhaust duct 7 for the discharge of exhaust gases from the engine. A fuel injector 8 is mounted in the cylindrical part of the substrate volume in such a way that the jet 9 of the fuel has the possibility of entering the bottom of the piston 2 from the bottom at any position thereof within the operating stroke and having the ability to remove part of the heat from the piston in order to increase the homogenization of the mixture, wherein the possibility of preparing the cycloidal portion of the fuel air mixture supply is realized within the limits of the cylindrical piston volume, and the cylinder working volume is purged with a portion of clean air that fills the channels 5 outside the cylindrical substrate volume followed by a portion of fuel air mixture filling the cylindrical subsurface volume.

EFFECT: proposed device makes it possible to increase the reliability and quality of the process for mixing a two-stroke engine without significantly increasing the complexity of the structure, to eliminate fuel losses in the exhaust system and to increase the degree of homogenization of fuel air mixture and enhance its cooling effect; by cooling the bottom of the piston with the fuel in the most heated zone (on the side of the exhaust window), the probability of the piston being heated is reduced if the heat balance in the engine is disturbed, and the lower temperature of the piston’s fire surface has a favourable effect on the efficiency of the working process, including the ability to work with a higher compression rate or on petrol with a lower octane number.
