FIELD: mechanical engineering; scavenging internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed engine has operating cylinder with piston and compressor cylinder with liner and piston communicating with operating cylinder through connecting channel through cutoff valve. Cutoff valve is made in form of spring-loaded cup installed on upper end face of liner. Mechanical coupling of operating and compress or pistons is provided by rod, for instance, slider-crank mechanisms, with compressor piston being installed in advance of operating piston in phase through 40-80 degrees of engine shaft turn. Volume of space of compressor cylinder is 5-30% of operating volume of working cylinder. Ring recess is made in middle part of compressor cylinder. This recess is connected with intake channel. Ports in linear are arranged over its circumference opposite to recess in compressor cylinder. Device to supply liquid or gaseous fuel is installed on intake channel. This device communicates with compression cylinder. After scavenging of operating cylinder with air, compressed fuel-air mixture is pressure-fed into operating cylinder from compressor cylinder.
