FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for use in the field of ultrasonic and eddy current nondestructive testing of wheelsets of railroad cars, including for nondestructive testing of wheelsets of freight cars, passenger cars, traction and motor-carriage rolling stock, subway cars, tram cars, rail bus cars. In the automated complex for non-destructive testing of wheelsets of cars, the eddy current control module of a wheelset allows monitoring the entire open surface of a wheelset. In this case, eddy-current testing is carried out by multi-element integral eddy-current transducers containing differential eddy-current transducers located one above the other and deployed relative to each other at an angle of about 90 degrees, which makes it possible to detect surface defects of arbitrary orientation. In addition, the automated complex additionally contains ultrasonic transducers and multi-element integral eddy current transducers for monitoring wheelset brake discs and a module for monitoring the hollow axle of wheelsets from the side of the central hole.

EFFECT: increased reliability and productivity of non-destructive testing of wheelsets with different profiles and composition of its elements, and the compactness of the complex is achieved.
