FIELD: non-destructive testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for eddy current non-destructive testing of elements of wheel sets of rail transport. The substance of the invention lies in the fact that the device for eddy current non-destructive testing of elements of wheel sets of rail transport contains a series-connected block of eddy current transducers, a filtering block, a threshold control block, an input signal formalization block, a neural network signal classifier block, a visualization and user interface block, and also contains a block archive of defects, connected to the block for calculating weight coefficients, at the same time, a block for monitoring the quality metrics of classification of neural network signals is additionally introduced, the input and output of which are connected respectively to the output of the block for calculating weight coefficients and to the second input of the block of the neural network classifier, the block for formalizing the input signal is made in in the form of a calculator of geometric parameters of two closed contours of the hodograph signal from a discontinuity, forming a "figure eight" on the complex plane: the tangents of the slopes of the first and second closed contours relative to the real axis, maximum and minimum lengths of line segments connecting the centers of mass of the first and second closed contours of the hodograph with points on their curves, respectively, as well as the tangent of the total angle of inclination of the entire hodograph relative to the real axis of the complex plane, the defect archive block is made in the form of an archive of marked geometric parameters of the hodographs signals from real acceptable and unacceptable operational defects, similar to the geometric parameters of the input signal formalization block, and the neural network signal classifier block is made in the form of a device for classifying real acceptable and unacceptable operational defects, the signal level from which exceeded the rejection level.
EFFECT: reduction of time and reduction of rejection and skipping of unacceptable defects in eddy current non-destructive testing.
