SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to agriculture, in particular to a dosing device for supplying drops of liquid, such as fluids having a low viscosity, or soft gels, to newly hatched poultry chicks, which are located in trays installed with the ability to move for newly hatched chicks and a method of delivering fluid droplets to newly hatched poultry chicks. The device contains at least one reservoir, at least one pumping unit, each of which is connected to at least one reservoir, at least one pipeline connected to at least one pumping unit, and at least, one control unit, as well as a plurality of liquid sprays, each of which is connected by flexible connecting means to at least one pipeline. In this case, the fluid nozzles are detachably and / or slidably connected to at least one mounting rail. The method involves preparing a fluid and placing it in at least one reservoir of a liquid metering device.
