FIELD: veterinary.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of veterinary medicine and pharmaceuticals, particularly to a method of post-mortem diagnosis of bovine leukemia. The method involves taking samples by swabbing with tissue fluid from cuts of carcasses and animal byproducts with a disposable sterile scalpel using sterile dry cotton wool swabs which are then placed in numbered sterile tubes, a certain amount of 0.85% NaCl solution is added depending on the size of the swabs and the swabs are left for 3-4 hours, wherein the immunodiffusion reaction is executed after that, the registration whereof is performed after 48 hours of incubation, and the existence of antibodies to the antigen of the bovine leukemia virus is detected along the precipitation lines.
EFFECT: invention allows creating a new method of post-mortem diagnosis of a disease of bovine leukemia using an immunodiffusion reaction.
