FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to shut-off valves used in equipment for trade, production and pipeline transportation of liquids and gas-liquid mixtures, primarily oil and oil products. Proposed are three variants of technical solutions with one fundamental basis. A sliding gate valve contains a body forming a gate valve chamber and flow passages on the outside with two spaced apart sealing units facing each other; a stem; a sliding gate located in the body and comprised of two movable gate sealing segments forming airtight connections with said spaced apart sealing units of the body in a position corresponding with a closed gate valve, wherein one of the segments is attached to the stem by the end plate of the stem, wherein said movable gate sealing segments are directly coupled with each other by the edges slanted in opposite directions forming a wedge connection, wherein one of the segments rests at its distal edge on a fixed stop comprising the valve body when the stem moves to close the valve, the sealing segments of the sliding gate, due to the wedge connection between them, slide apart in the directions of said sealing units of the body until they reach contact with them and the airtight connections between the outer surfaces of said gate sealing segments and said spaced apart sealing units of the body are sealed.

EFFECT: three functional variants of a shut-off valve that can be used in equipment for trade, production and pipeline transportation of liquids and gas-liquid mixtures.
