FIELD: dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a composition for the care of the oral cavity containing a hydrophobic phase and a hydrophilic phase and a method of its use. An oral composition contains a hydrophobic phase containing one or more adhesion promoters, a cross-linked polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) complex of hydrogen peroxide and an acyl group donor. One or more adhesion promoters contain either petroleum jelly or mineral oil. The oral composition includes a hydrophilic phase containing an enzyme, which catalyzes the reaction between a hydrogen peroxide source and an acyl donor to form a peroxy acid, an amphoteric surfactant - cocamidopropyl betaine and carbomer. The method of teeth whitening includes mixing the hydrophobic phase and the hydrophilic phase of the above composition for the care of the oral cavity with each other to obtain a mixture, form a peroxy acid and bring the surface of the teeth into contact with the resulting mixture.
EFFECT: composition ensures the stability of both hydrophobic and hydrophilic phases during storage, which leads to the production of a sufficient amount of a whitening enhancer (for example, a peracetic acid) for teeth whitening when the phases are mixed.
