SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and can be used for the prevention of complications after a planned operation of total hip and / or knee joint arthroplasty in patients of gerontological age with diabetes mellitus, not suffering from diabetic nephropathy and chronic renal failure. To do this, it is recommended to prescribe early enteral nutrition (EEN) by sipping Nutridrink Compact mixture with dietary fiber in combination with diabetic dietary food and medications stimulating motility of the gastrointestinal tract. REB is carried out 4 hours after the operation. Repeat the introduction of the mixture 2 times every 4 hours after the first dose. The sugar level is monitored and the protein profile is measured on the 7th, 10th day and then every 10 days until the reference and preoperative indicators are reached. Then the patient is transferred to diet food.
EFFECT: prevention of complications after total hip or knee arthroplasty in said patients with diabetes mellitus.
