SUBSTANCE: invention is related to aerosol generation product, to a system containing an aerosol generation product, and to the use of an aerosol generation product. The aerosol-generating article comprises an aerosol-generating substrate and a mouthpiece axially aligned with the aerosol-generating substrate, a wrapper surrounding the additive segment, which is made of filter material, and a cavity located upstream. The mouthpiece contains a segment with an additive, which is made of a filter material containing one or more destructible capsules. Each destructible capsule contains an outer shell and an inner core containing an additive. The additive segment, which is made of filter material, is located downstream at a distance from the aerosol generating substrate to form a cavity, located upstream, between the aerosol generating substrate and the additive segment, which is made of filter material. The upstream cavity is substantially empty. The cross-sectional area of the upstream cavity corresponds to at least about 50 percent of the cross-sectional area of the mouthpiece and the length of the additive segment corresponds to at least about 30 percent of the total length of the mouthpiece.
EFFECT: providing a more reliable and stable means for releasing an additive, such as a flavoring agent, into the mouthpiece during smoking.
