FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create memristive structures based on spinels of the "Mott insulator" family. The method for synthesizing spinel GaNb4Se8 from elementary substances includes a solid-phase chemical reaction in an evacuated and hermetically sealed quartz ampoule. The solid-phase chemical reaction is carried out in combination with the thermolysis of niobium and gallium selenides with a five-fold cyclic change in the synthesis temperature of 400-700-400 °C every 30-40 minutes.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain a material with high compositional uniformity containing GaNb4Se8 in an amount of 98% vol.
