FIELD: pipeline systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the design of the connection of pipeline systems and can be used in the connection of pipes of medium diameter distribution pipelines for the transportation of various liquids and gases. Mechanical connection is carried out by squeezing and uniform double-sided crimping of the conical parts of the pipe walls using a conical connecting nipple sleeve and two sets of conical liners, two crimping sleeves and the required number of studs passing through them as well as nuts and washers. When tightening the ferrules, they provide structural integrity and strength of the pipe connection. In this case, the seal and the tightness of the connection are ensured along the inner conical surfaces of the pipes and the conical parts of the nipple sleeve.
EFFECT: due to the uniform double-sided crimping of the pipe walls between the conical liners and the nipple sleeve, connection of pipelines is ensured and pipelines can be made not only of steel, non-ferrous and light alloys, but also of reinforced plastic, composites, ceramics and glass.
