FIELD: medicine; surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery, and concerns the treatment of phlegmon of the maxillofacial area. The wound is washed with antiseptic solutions - 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide and 0.05% solution of chlorhexidine. The wound edges are treated with 70% alcohol. After that, a single prickling of the suppurative focus is performed at 5 points along the perimeter with a gene medication containing recombinant DNA encoding lactoferrin, containing 1×108 of human adenovirus particles of the 5th serotype, in 0.5 ml of saline solution. Then, the ointment “Levomekol” is applied to the wound surface and the antibiotic “Ceftriaxone” is injected at 1000 mg/kg of body weight intramuscularly.
EFFECT: method provides rapid healing of postoperative wounds and prevents the development of complications due to the immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of recombinant lactoferrin.
