When implementing the method, the position of the state registration plate (SRP) of the car is found on the video frame, on which the search for the SRP was carried out by software and the SRP was successfully recognized. Then the positions of the vehicle's license plate are restored on video frames on which it was not searched or it was not recognized, by finding special points for which, on another image of the same object, the points representing the same points of a physical object in the vicinity of the license plate can be most reliably found on the frame on which the license plate was recognized or its position was successfully found using this algorithm, and their comparison with the special points found on the current frame. Further, the position of the SRP is determined by calculating the median coordinates of the vertices of the vectors built from the special points found on the frame where the SRP was not recognized, and corresponding to the special points that were in the vicinity of the SRP on the frame where the SRP was recognized, and for which the values ​​of these vectors were calculated on the frame where the license plate was recognized.
