SUBSTANCE: method for automatic traffic control, in which the parameters of the movement of vehicles are measured, the license plates of the said vehicles are recognized, video surveillance and video recording are carried out, computer analysis of the obtained video recordings is carried out in order to build trajectories, the data is compared, the identification of the fixed vehicles is carried out on this basis with the detection violations of traffic rules. At the same time, the images of the control zones of one wide-angle video camera and one narrow-focus video camera are spatially linked, the images are synchronized in time, the traffic parameters are monitored, thereby preventing mutual shadowing of vehicles in the traffic image. Automatic analysis of video recordings of traffic flows is also carried out, target identification is performed by automatic license plate recognition, automatic data comparison is performed, the results of vehicle identification are sent to the data processing center to form a decision on traffic violations.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of traffic control is achieved.
