FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a co-production unit for olefins and methanol for co-production of olefins and methanol from gaseous feedstock containing methane, as well as a process for co-production of olefins and methanol from a gaseous feedstock carried out in this facility. The proposed plant contains an olefin production unit for olefin production and a methanol production unit for methanol production from gaseous carbon oxides from an olefin production unit. The olefins production unit includes a partial oxidative coupling device for producing olefins in the process of partial oxidative coupling of methane contained in the gaseous feedstock, and a methanation unit for producing methane from gaseous carbon oxides from the olefins production unit, and the methanol production unit includes a reformer for hydrogen production in a methane reforming process, and a methanol production device for producing methanol by reacting with hydrogen produced by the reformer, wherein at least one of the reformer or methanol production device is configured to process using gaseous carbon oxides from an olefin production unit, and the reformer is configured to produce hydrogen from methane produced by the methanation device.
EFFECT: present invention enables the production of olefins using the partial oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) process with the simultaneous production of methanol using gaseous carbon oxides formed as a by-product of the OCM process.
