FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. The navigation, tracking and direction system for positioning surgical instruments in a patient's body contains a control device, a viewing device, and a first detection device for determining the spatial position of the viewing device. The system additionally contains a probe connected to the surgical instrument and designed to be inserted into the inner part of the patient's body. The probe contains at least one light guide having zones of dispersion of the light stream generated inside the light guide, and a detection device for detecting the dispersion of the light stream to identify the spatial location of the probe inserted into the patient's body. The control device is designed to project on the viewing device an image of the internal state of at least one internal part of the patient's body and an image of the probe based on the identified spatial location. The data carrier contains a computer program that implements the steps of the method when being performed on a computer.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will allow the operator to operate on the patient in an accurate, reliable, and safe way.
