SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an apparatus for producing a component in form of a rod of an aerosol generating product which contains a first mobile mechanism configured to move the first sheet along the first direction; a second mobile mechanism configured to move the second sheet along the second direction; a third mobile mechanism configured to move the current collector strip along the third direction, wherein said third mobile mechanism is configured to place said current collector strip between the first and the second sheet while moving; and a rod producing apparatus configured to produce a rod out of the first and the second sheets and the current collector strip and containing an inlet hole and an outlet hole, wherein said first and second sheets and said current collector strip are fed into said inlet hole and said rod is deposited from said outlet hole.

EFFECT: technical result is enabled equal quantity of aerosol forming substrate material on each side of the current collector.
